- 5 tablespoons of good quality butter,
- 2 grams of dried hemp or hemp tea,
- a dash of salt.
The most important part of preparing hemp butter is to melt the butter skillfully. Put it in a small saucepan and on low heat (this is very important!) wait until the butter melts. Then add to it very finely ground dried (you can also use hemp tea with additives for a more interesting flavor) and cook for about 45-60 minutes. After this time, strain the contents of the saucepan, add a little salt and transfer the finished butter to a container. Try to strain it very thoroughly so that the finished hemp butter is thick. Put the finished hemp butter in the refrigerator. Done! After a few hours you can enjoy the natural taste of hemp butter.
Cookies with hemp seeds – a tasty, sweet snack
Do you love sweets, but store-bought candy bars and cookies don’t quite convince you? We have a healthy alternative for you – cookies with hemp seeds. They are delicious and easy to prepare. Sounds good? Then get to it!
You need:
- 3 bananas,
- a tablespoon of honey,
- a cup of mountain oatmeal,
- a handful of hemp seeds,
- a handful of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds or others – depends on what you like.
Mix the prepared oatmeal with bananas and honey. You don’t need to add sugar, as bananas are sweet enough. Add hemp seeds and seeds of your choice to the finished mixture. Form small cookies and bake them in the oven for about 15-20 minutes at 180 degrees.
Recipe for a tasty smoothie with hemp seeds
A tasty smoothie is the best way to start the day. It will give your body a solid dose of nutrients, and you will feel light. The addition of hemp seeds will help you get through the day with a smile on your lips.
You need:
- 2-3 handfuls of arugula,
- 2 bananas,
- 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds,
- a glass of water,
- optional: half an avocado, lemon juice.
Wash the arugula and bananas thoroughly and put them in the blender cup. Add hemp seeds, water and, if using, avocado chunks and lemon juice. Blend the whole thing gently until smooth. Done! Hemp seeds have a very mild flavor, so you can also add them to other healthy smoothies made from vegetables and fruits. They go great with strawberries, cucumber or beets.
How about flavorful hummus?
Hummus is a real hit in recent years. It is reached not only by vegetarians, because it goes sensationally with fresh bread. It is worth preparing homemade hummus, because it is much more flavorful than the one available in stores.
You need:
- a can of chickpeas,
- 5 tablespoons of tahini paste (to buy in health food stores),
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- a dash of lemon or lime juice,
- ground hemp seeds,
- a tablespoon of hemp oil,
- a teaspoon of cumin,
- salt and pepper.
Drain the chickpeas – pour the water from the can into a separate bowl, as you will need it. Put the chickpeas in the blender and add a little water from the can. Start blending slowly, gradually adding other ingredients: chopped garlic, ground hemp seeds, a tablespoon of hemp oil, cumin, lemon juice, tahini, a pinch of salt and pepper. From time to time, check that the hummus has the right consistency. If it is too thick, add a little more water. You can serve the finished hummus with the addition of hemp oil. Then sprinkle it with hot bell pepper powder or chopped parsley. You have complete freedom here. Bon appétit!
